Resources & Information

Health & Safety

Extra health-related services will be offered from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am during Spring Fling weekend in the Campus Center Yellow Room (214). This space will be staffed by folks from Bard EMS and Bard Health Services. Please utilize this area if you get a minor injury or have any health-related questions for you or your friends! If you want a break from the crowd, the TV Lounge will be open for use. There will be extra BRAVE counselors available if you’d like to chat located under the food tent. As always, we will have Bard EMS available campus-wide throughout the weekend, so don’t hesitate to call security (x7777) and request EMS for anything serious! We will also have an ambulance on stand-by, so don’t be alarmed if you see them around.

Guest Registration

Spring Fling events are intended for Bard Students and their guests only. Be sure to REGISTER YOUR GUESTS with security if you plan on having visitors for the weekend! You can pre-register your guest at Security to expedite the process of getting a bracelet for the beer garden in the Campus Center. Registered guests over the age of 21 are welcome to partake in the beer and hard cider we will be serving; they must get their bracelets from security, who will be set up in the Campus Center by Weis Cinema on Friday from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am.

Alternative Transportation

Safe Ride and Tiv Deliv will not be running. If you choose to drink this weekend, DO NOT DRIVE. Local police departments will be setting up roadblocks at the entrances to campus to A) prevent uninvited strangers from coming on-campus (yes, please), and B) Make sure that no one drinks and drives throughout the weekend. Plus, there's a
free shuttle - save the gas and use it!
About those shuttles - there will be two shuttles running to/from Red Hook AND Tivoli until 2:00 am. Please be respectful of the shuttle drivers, shuttle monitors, and local community members both on the shuttle and while waiting for it. If there are too many people to be picked up at once, please be patient and keep in mind that our additional shuttle will arrive shortly (you will not have to wait the full 40 minutes for the complete shuttle loop).
SRG will be providing extra golf-cart patrols 9:00 pm - to 1:00 am, call SRG (x4653) if you need a ride to/from anywhere on campus late at night. Due to the overlap in services, SafeRide and TivDeliv will NOT be running Friday and Saturday nights - just use the shuttle.

Beer Garden

FREE BEER and HARD CIDER will be served from 8pm-12am on Friday and Saturday (or until the beverages run out, whichever comes first) for anyone 21+. Students can pick up bracelets on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 10 am to 4 pm in the Campus Center Lobby. If you are unable to get your bracelet on any of those days, you can line up at the Beer Garden at 8 pm instead. A bracelet will allow you to come and go from the beer garden as you please for the whole weekend, but all drinks must be consumed within the beer garden area. Please note that everyone will ONLY receive one bracelet for the whole weekend - so don't lose it!
