PLEASE NOTE that the upcoming Contra Dance event has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 13.

Good music, fun, easy dancing, and free snacks: that’s what Contra Dance Club brings to Bard. And some really nice people from the surrounding community who also think these things are cool. If you’ve got toes that are just itching to tap and a skirt, kilt, or other clothing item you’ve been dying to try twirling, this is the club for you. You don’t need a partner or any prior dancing experience – we’ve got you covered.

Dances are held once a semester (one in the fall, one in the spring), from 7:30 until 10:30 pm, usually with a beginners’ lesson at 7, either in the Multipurpose Room in the Bard College Campus Center, or in Bard Hall.

Bard students, faculty, and staff get in for free.

Community members are $10, and non-Bard students are $5.
