Overview of Forum: The Bard Journal for Literary Studies
forum is dedicated to publishing analytical/expository/explorative student work from philosophy and literature, with occasional context-appropriate surprises from other field along the way. it publishes an issue per semester which features 5-14 essays (about 50 pages plus) from students at bard, simon's rock, and/or those enrolled in bard programs such as the bard prison initiative. the selection process is based on originality, content and style. in the future forum hopes to feature selections and/or abstracts from senior projects of interest. besides the benefit of the students being able to read their peers' work and publish their own, forum provides those who participate with the creation of the publication with valuable editing, technical and analytical skills.
