Muslim Students Organization (MSO) is a club for Muslim students in Bard College, which aims to introduce and educate the community in Islam. The club holds various religious, educational and informational programs during the course of the academic year. These programs include weekly “iftar” gatherings during the month of Ramadan, weekly Friday prayers, Eid celebrations, film screenings, scholarly talks and community field trips. The programs are generally open to everyone. Members can be from different ethnic and religious backgrounds.

MSO intends to provide for religious needs of Muslims in Bard College. In addition, it intends to disperse the teachings and practices of Islam. Consequently, anybody interested in Islam or harboring relevant curiosities are warmly welcome to contact the club members or Muslim chaplain. It encourages interaction between different religious groups to develop understanding and minimize misconceptions. It is not strictly confined to Bard students and faculty, and is open for anyone in the neighboring region who might find it of assistance.
