This semester's agenda:
A week long series of events including an academic lectures, a panel with UN speakers, a presentation by Mia Farrow on her visits to Darfur, Chad, and Central African Republic, a concert with Bard and outside bands, movie screenings (All About Darfur, Darfur Diaries, etc.), and a concentrated campaign for divestment.
Present a list of companies to divest from to the Bard Socially Responsible Investment committee and discuss Bard divestment with the administration.
Work with the Sudan Divestment Task Force on the NY legislation for the targeted divestment of NY pension funds from companies associated with the genocide. Help the campaign to get the bill passed through community outreach.
Edit and publish a journal focusing on Darfur and Sudan history and politics in association with Bard Journal of Social Sciences. We plan to distribute this on campus, to colleagues in the STAND network, and at future events held by our club.
Continue to sell T-shirt's for fundraising.
Make informational binders to leave in public places (Kline, Manor, Campus Center) for people to read, share, look at, learn, etc.
